Sydney, Australia
We'll take the kids fishing.
You take the park bench.
You pick a park, we'll pick a fishing spot nearby, and we bring everything — rods, bait, patience. You picnic, we run the lesson. No gear to buy, no boat to own, just a low-cost way to find out if fishing's actually for your family before you commit to any of it.
01 — How it works
Three steps, one afternoon
Book, meet, fish — timed loosely around the tide, not the clock.
| Step | What happens | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Pick a spot | Tell me a park you already like, or ask me for one near water with good picnic ground and an easy, safe bank for kids. |
| 02 | We bring the kit | Rods, tackle, bait, and a soft-skills lesson plan pitched at whatever age your kids are — no gear of yours required. |
| 03 | You picnic, they fish | Lay out the picnic blanket while I run the session a short walk away. Come and go as you like — We keep an eye on the lines and the kids. |
02 — The trip
What's actually included
Gear
Rods & tackle
Kid-sized rods, hooks, sinkers, and bait sorted for whatever's biting at that spot on the day.
Know-how
A real lesson
Casting, baiting, knots, and how to actually land something — taught the way I'd teach my own.
Low stakes
No commitment
One session, no gear to buy, no membership. Decide afterwards whether fishing's a family thing.
03 — Who's running it
The short version
I'm Yun — I design and make fishing lures under Entreprelure. After taking my niece and nephew out on the bank and watching them fall in love with it, I saw the gap between "let's try fishing" and actually owning a rod.
Hire a Fisho is the low-cost middle step: I bring the trip to you, your kids get a proper go at it, and nobody has to buy anything until they know they'll use it.
04 — Good to know
A few restrictions
Small operation, so there are some limits on where and when.
| Note | Restriction | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Area | Picton based Business | Available in Sydney. I can't currently take bookings for Byron Bay or Coffs Harbour at this moment — too far to make it work, but I can go as far as Newcastle. Drop me a line and we can have a chat! |
| Timing | Weekends for now | This is currently a weekend-only gig. Weekday sessions may be possible at a different time — get in touch and I'll see what I can do. |
05 — Pricing
One flat fee, up to four kids
Longer sessions cost less per hour — pick what suits your day.
| Length | Flat rate | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| 1 hr | $90 | A quick taster session — good for very young kids or a first-time trial. |
| 2 hrs | $150 | The sweet spot — enough time to actually land something, without asking too much of shorter attention spans. |
| 3 hrs | $200 | A relaxed afternoon with time for a break, a snack, and a second spot if the first one's quiet. |
| Half day | $250 | Around 4 hours — best value per hour, ideal if you're making a full day of the picnic too. |
Flat rate covers up to 4 kids and includes all gear, bait, and tuition. Prices are a starting point while I get this off the ground — happy to chat if your group or timing is a bit different.
06 — Book a spot
Let's set a date
Tell me your local park (or ask for a suggestion), roughly how many kids and their ages, and a couple of dates that could work. I'll confirm the fishing spot and what to bring — which is nothing.
